Wow! What a day!

There were boatloads and boatloads and boatloads of partiers flooding The Cow Cove hungry for a day of river rat playtime! At one point, we had reports of over 200 boats in attendance.

All the "no-rain-dancing" paid off! It rained and rained all week but as we shook off the stage props and swept away the puddles, the sun broke out and stayed with us till a blissful dusk came for our fire finale. As if there was a bubble around June 8th, the rains left and only returned once all was put away and finally cleaned up the following day. Perfection!

There are more photos on our Facebook page but sadly we didn't get pics of all performers or of all boats. If you have some you want to share, please do!

Thanks for coming out and for all who had hands in making this THE BEST FEST on The Waters of Wylie. While we may not have been able to get everyone on stage who wanted to be or to get the social media event to take off or to complete all awards intended, or to get the sound out to every boat we hoped to .... it was truly a great day and we thank you.....

is a completely volunteer-driven not-for-profit community effort started by an individual lake resident who pulled together musicians, sponsors, equipment, website, e-news, stage and support production, and many, many, many details that can't be remembered.

If one person can do all of this, what can a whole team do?!!!!
